Netflix Shows to Binge This Summer
Summer is here! And while it’s time to be outside enjoying the sun, there’s always those days when you want to binge a good show on Netflix. In order to make your search for a new show a little bit easier, these five suggestions will get you on the right start:
New Girl
This quirky show is about a girl named Jessica Day who, after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, moves in with three guys she found on the internet. These men are Nick, Schmidt, Coach and Winston. Along with Jess’ best friend Cece, the group encounters many weird, sometimes romantic, and insane situations. This show is perfect if you’re looking for something funny, that doesn’t need to be watched all at once.
Friends
An older show, that still doesn’t age. Friends is a perfect sitcom about six friends living in New York. Rachel, her best friend Monica, Monica’s brother Ross, Ross’ best friend Chandler, and Phoebe and Joey are the main characters of this classic. Over 10 seasons, the friends encounter many dramatic, but funny, situations about the lives of people in their 30s in New York. This is another easy show that can be watched at any time.
Riverdale
For a thrilling, mysterious show, Riverdale is the show for you. It opens up with the death, possible murder, of a teenager in a small town, obviously named Riverdale. Throughout the show, violence and murder occur, but the teenagers in the town take it upon themselves to solve the mysteries. Betty, the girl next door. Archie, the football jock with a secret passion for music. Jughead, the outcast with a harsh past. Veronica, the rich new girl from the big city. Cheryl, the mean girl with a soft spot for some. If you’re looking for a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat, these characters will provide it.
That 70’s Show
This show takes place in none other but the 70’s. Six friends (Eric, Kelso, Hyde, Fez, Donna, Jackie) take on the struggles of being a teen in the 70’s. Living in Wisconsin might seem like it would be boring, but these friends find so many different ways to make the best with what they’ve got. This show is all about each teens hilarious struggle for independence and becoming an adult. This is a great show for the summer because you can watch it whenever you want, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be watched in order.
Baby Daddy
This last show is about another small group of friends who are surprised one day by a baby being left at their door. The baby, Emma, belongs to one of the characters, Ben. Throughout the show, Ben, his brother Danny, and their two friends Tucker and Riley, raise the baby while still dealing with the everyday life of being in their twenties. Of course, they usually have the help of Ben and Danny’s mom, Bonnie. This show is one that will make you laugh out loud, perfect for a summer day.
