Benjamin Feltes is one of two teachers awarded October Teacher of the Month.  He was nominated by Cadie VanLangen, Delaney Barton, Luke Ransom, Mara Pospisal, Mikki VerWoert, and Nolan Saveraid.  It is his first year teaching and he’s been at ADM for three months.

When asked why he decided to become a teacher he said, “I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember.  I knew I wanted to be a high school teacher since sophomore year of college.”  Feltes said that he chose to teach English because it was a subject he was never very good at in high school.  “I wanted to challenge myself,” he said.

To Feltes, being Teacher of the Month means a lot, being only afirst-yearr teacher, “I wasn’t expecting it, but it feels good.”
