Isabel LaFollette – October Kiwanis Student of the Month

Isabel LaFollette Kiwanis Student of the Month

Isabel LaFollette, daughter of Kelly and Stacy LaFollette, is one of the two students honored with to be Octobers Kiwanis Students of the Month. Isabel has earned this honor with her 3.8 GPA and her involvement in many activities.

Isabel’s favorite classes are AP Lit and Comp, Yearbook, and Medical Interventions. Isabel says, “I like to read and figure out deeper meanings in old literature,” about AP Lit and Comp.

Aside from academics, Isabel also is involved in soccer. She says it has taught her to be a leader, but also a follower so she can learn new things. She takes her knowledge of soccer to the next level by coaching younger soccer players and mentoring another younger student.

Isabel plans to major in exercise science or pre PT, possibly at the University of Northern Iowa.

Isabel’s advice to others about success both in the classroom and outside is, “Manage your time wisely, and get the hard stuff done first.” This is one reason she believes she has achieved this honor. Also because she works hard in school and sports.

In recognition of her achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Fund.
