Kim Lockard- October Fine Arts Student of the Month
Senior Kim Lockard, is this months Fine Arts Student of the Month for marching band. Kim is the daughter of Laura and John Lockard. Other than marching band, Kim is involved in play, speech, Academic Decathlon, and choir.
Kim has held many positions in her fine art activities. These include: section leader for the french horn in band, Alto section leader, band council, historian for choir, vice president of thespian society, choral reading, and musical theater.
“A lot of the activities I am in help provide a good sense of family and you can get close to people and have good friends. It helps prepare you for the real world and working with people. It is also really fun,” she stated.
Being Fine Arts Student of the Month means a lot to her. “I have done a lot of Fine Arts, I have a leadership role. People have recognized that. I am being rewarded for being apart of it all. I have done a lot and have become a leader,” says Kim.
In recognition of her achievements, Raccoon Valley Bank donated $100 to Fine Arts.
