I was not planning on taking News Journalism until a friend encouraged me to put it in my schedule just to have a class we could spend time together in. It ended up to be one of my best decisions.

This year in News Journalism I enjoyed learning how to create a story that is worth sharing with others. I learned how to be professional when conducting interviews, choosing an angle for a story, and spreading news to people. This class has helped me develop skills I will use in my life beyond high school.

News Journalism encouraged me and gave me opportunities to get involved and educate myself about things going on in the school, community, state, nation, and other countries. This class helped me get out of my comfort zone in order to write stories for others to be educated, too.
