Nordman: End of Journalism 16-17
I don’t really believe this is a class where you obtain a bunch new “knowledge” like you would in a history, math, or a science class. We aren’t reading from textbooks or taking long test to see what we have learned during the year. What you do gain is experience, and in my opinion that trumps knowledge in many cases, especially journalism. The one thing I will take away from this class is that there are always two sides to a story. In our small journalism class, we are expected to find both sides of every story no matter how controversial it may or may not be. Not only does that make sense in the journalism world, but real life.
My advice to those who will be taking this class next year is have fun with it. You are given a platform so use it!
