Movie Review: Logan
After waiting so long to see this movie, I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about it. It had everything I would expect from a Wolverine movie, plenty of gore, violence, and shiny claws. But it also had something I didn’t expect: a complex plot. The last Wolverine movie I saw was a simple story about Wolverine coming out of the woods and killing a bunch of guys in Japan. This movie has a very convoluted and confusing plot line, with me walking out of the theater and driving home in silence attempting to figure out what even happened. I will attempt to express my feelings on this movie–AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (*incoherent mumblings*).
I think that about sums up this movie, but for those of you who have no idea what I’m going on about, Logan is the LAST movie in the Wolverine series, and if you won’t know Wolverine’s back story, you know that he won’t get a happy ending… that’s all I’m going to say on that topic. Overall, I loved the movie. It keeps you interested and adds some interesting dialogue. Plus, seeing Logan come to terms with his mortality adds an interesting twist, considering that for almost the entire series he has been only a step away from immortal… never aging and never dying. This movie is the best I’ve seen in quite a while, and I’m glad to give it the rating of 9/10.
