Music Review: Blush
Hailing from Canterbury, Moose Blood is probably one of the best hidden secrets in England. Despite their death metal name, Moose Blood actually performs a variety of songs from slow and heartbroken to frantic. The two things that make their songs distinctive are their lead singer, Eddy Brewerton’s, low voice and the high frequency of the guitar playing (mostly done by Brewerton and Mark E. Osbourne.) They released their first album in 2014 called I’ll Keep you in my Mind From Time to Time.
Still ranked 10th on the UK Billboard Top 200, Moose Blood released an album late 2016 called Blush. Even with only ten tracks on their new CD, Moose Blood was able to bring an array of emotions to the table despite their easy-to-relate-to lyrics.
Moose Blood began their album with more upbeat songs such as ‘Pastel’ and ‘Honey’, and ended with heartbreaking songs such as ‘Shimmer’ and ”Freckle’.
Try something new, get out there, and don’t let the band’s name fool ya.
