Everyone has a something that they love but don’t tell anyone about. Sometimes it’s the amount of romantic comedies they watch or the fact that they eat 3 cans of Spaghetti-O’s a day.
Senior Hannah Borst claims that her guilty pleasure is apples.

“I eat a lot of apples… like, a lot,” said Borst. Well, at least she is healthy with her addiction.

Senior Kirsten Abbas has a different obsession. She binge watches the dramatic television series One Tree Hill.

“You don’t have to think about it- it’s just endless drama and entertainment. The characters are so simple…you just go with it. And the boys are cute,” said Abbas. Hey, not everyone can watch educational television all the time!

Senior Logan Shield took a different route with his guilty pleasure, a rather unexpected one.

“I read girly books. I like the different angle they have,” said Shield. Coming from a hardcore football player and facial hair aficionado, this was quite the curveball.

ADM students are interested in a wide variety of things, some of which they let fly under the radar. An important question to be asked is why do students feel embarrassed about any part of their lives that makes them happy? In general, it is because they fear being judged.

Instead of having guilty pleasures, there should be a switch to them just being pleasures. People should not feel guilty for things that bring them happiness.
