Over New Year’s, the famous Hollywood sign got a makeover. The sign was altered between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM to read “Hollyweed.” The sign remained like that until about 11:00 AM when officials took it down. The prankster was caught on camera but officials were not able to tell the person’s height or race due to rain. The sign does have motion sensors that notify police when triggered but they are easy to get around. The last time the sign was altered to say “Hollyweed” was in 1976. The person was not caught in either case.
