Movie Review: Rogue One
Deciding to brave the sub-zero temperature, I ventured out to see the new Star Wars movie: Rogue One.
Being almost a year since I saw episode seven, I had a craving for more Star Wars. Needless to say, Rogue One had what I was looking for: Space Battles. I know, I know, I have low expectations, but Rogue One had plenty more to offer than just “space battles.” Rogue One, if you’ve heard anything about it, is a prequel to Star Wars: A New Hope. In fact, it leads directly to the beginning of A New Hope. Of course, because of this, all loose ends need to be tied up within the movie, causing the plot to move a little faster than normal, and introducing multiple characters in the first 10 minutes. The plot did tie together quite well, wfocusing on a new story while building on the original trilogy’s lore.
I was asked my favorite part after the movie and I have to say I really enjoyed the robot. Its’ great personality was a source of great enjoyment for me and I will always remember, “I find that statement vague and unconvincing.”
My rating for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: 9/10
