Black Friday Deals, People Worth The Late Night
I do not go shopping often by any means, but I do enjoy Black Friday shopping. I figure if there’s something I want for Christmas or know of gifts I want to get people, I may as well do it when I can get a good deal.
Some people avoid Black Friday because of if its reputation for crazy crowds, raging drivers, outrageous lines and waits and fighting outbreaks (which all people-watchers all secretly hope to see). But stores have started opening earlier and earlier every year to increase sales, which also helps lower the craze. I have never been overwhelmed by people, witnessed a fight or even stood in a line longer than 10 minutes.
This is the first year I really took advantage of the sales. I found deals at all my favorite stores including Charlotte Russe, Old Navy, Forever 21, Charming Charlie, Dicks Sporting Goods, Nike outlet and Bath and Body Works. Some of the best sales I saw were the whole store up to 50% off, buy 3 get 3 free and everything priced 20 dollars or below.
Other years I went along just for the fun of it. The environment full of people out with friends and family finding things they love not only for themselves, but also gifts for their family, and a slight thrill of being out at odd hours, made for mostly happy shoppers.
Black Friday may not be the best fit if you are highly claustrophobic or OCD, but if you’re looking for good deals or a fun time with friends I would recommend adding this to your Thanksgiving traditions.
