DeSoto Intermediate Celebrates Veterans Day
For several years, the DeSoto Intermediate School has honored Veteran’s Day through a variety of activities.
According to Jodi Banse, DeSoto Intermediate principal, for around five years the flag raising ceremony has been the main event for the third, fourth and fifth graders’ school day. There are a lot fewer military families that have students in the school than there were a few years ago, but the school still strives to do something every year to celebrate Veteran’s Day.
Throughout the day, classrooms incorporated small activities or discussions to honor the men and women who served our country.
