Center Grove Orchard Review
Center Grove Orchard is located in Cambridge, Iowa and has been in business for 22 years. This Orchard is similar to others in central Iowa because it offers a variety of activities for all ages- I’m seventeen and even I was impressed by the diversity. Operating on eighteen acres, this orchard boasts a corn maze, hay-rack rides, a corn pool, opportunities to feed farm animals, and many other things.
Pumpkins, apples and gourds are able to be picked and purchased, and other apple products are able to be purchased in Center Grove’s store. This establishment maintains a very comfortable and upbeat environment with friendly staff members and keeping every guest on the go.
My favorite things about the Orchard were the goats that were able to be fed and the combine slide. The goats were very comical because not only were they able to walk across boards to get from pen to pen, but they were a prime example of trust. The adult goats could definitely get out of their pens that were supposed to confine them if they wanted to, but they would only stand on the fence for treats, then hop back down. The owners and goats seemed pretty content in their circle of trust. The combine slide was also one of the neatest things I have ever seen. A slide was created going through the interior of a combine, and ended at the scoop of the machine. The tall black staircase that led up to it was striking, which made the mark of creativity hard to miss when guests made their way to enter the corn maze.
I would highly recommend visiting Center Grove Orchard this fall because of how much there is to do there. Admission is $9.95 Monday-Friday and $12.05 on the weekends. Center Grove Orchard opens for winter holiday activities after November. Check them out at www.centergroveorchard.com
