1. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
This movie follows a teenage girl named Kat Stratford. She is very shy, quiet, and a little anti-social. However, her younger sister, Bianca, is the exact opposite. She is bubbly, energetic, and extroverted. Bianca falls in love with Cameron, but there is one problem. Bianca is only allowed to date Cameron if Kat starts dating someone first. This movie follows Kat as she tries to overcome her romantic struggles to help her sister. Although she sets out to help her sister with no intention of actually pursuing a relationship with anyone, a certain someone might change her mind.
2. The Notebook (2004)
The Notebook stars famous actors, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling in a heartfelt but tragic romance about first love and heartbreak. Allie and Noah come from completely different backgrounds, but that doesn’t stop them from falling in love at first sight. However, they have to overcome every obstacle in the book, from disapproving parents, and feelings for other people, to being shipped off to the military. This classic shows the complex love story of two kids trying to navigate their first love.
3. To All of the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)
In this book adaptation, Laura Jean is the farthest thing from a main character you could find. Although she dreams of finding her soulmate and having a great love story, she is very shy and has never actually talked to a guy. She is extremely anti-social, but that doesn’t stop her from developing many crushes. To cope with her feelings, she writes letters to all of the boys she has loved, with no intention of ever sending them. However, one day her letters get mailed and she suddenly has to deal with the consequences.
4. P.S. I Still Love You (2020)
P.S. I Still Love You is the sequel to All of the Boys I’ve Loved Before. This movie expands on Laura Jean’s love story. While everything seemed perfect when the story left off, teenage love is anything but easy or simple. With complicated feelings for more than just one person, Laura Jean must look deep into herself to figure out what she truly wants and save her relationship.
5. Always and Forever (2021)
The same characters you know and love are back in the third and final movie of the trilogy. As Lara Jean finishes her final year of high school, she realizes how close college truly is. Now that her relationship is finally going in the right direction, she stresses about what the future holds. She plans to go to college with her boyfriend, but nothing is ever set in stone, and when a huge wrench gets thrown into her plans, she has to figure out exactly what she is willing to do to make it all work.
