Trump was voted into office in November and will be sworn into office next month, but there has been a lot of misinformation and confusion about what Trump plans to do with his time in office. Because of all this confusion I wanted to go out and ask some students what they thought Trump planned to do.
A lot of students said that they did not care because they were not into politics like Tate Truitt who said “I did not do my research on politics so I just avoid them at all costs“
There were some people who disliked the fact that Trump was voted into office such as Miller Banse. Banse said “As of right now what people are saying is that they would rather have a criminal as president than a democrat”
Some of the points brought up by Miller are true. Trump is a felon. In fact he has 34 felony counts to his name, the biggest one being falsifying records in the first degree. This charge is only given to business workers who make or cause a false entry in the business records of an enterprise, or alter, destroy, conceal, or remove any such record.
Here are some things that Trump has confirmed he wants to do in office.
Trump plans to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants, as well as ending birthright citizenship. He also wants to give major tax cuts to seniors on social security and many others. Trump plans on cutting spending for climate change, and he claims he will end Russia’s war with Ukraine in 24 hours. In terms of defense, Trump plans to support further innovations with drones due to it giving growth to manufacturing jobs.
Trump could achieve none of his goals as president or all of them. This is just to show what he plans on doing based off of statements that he made, and his previous years in office.
