The people of Adel have opinions on many different things, and the world is one of them. Everyone has different problems with the world ranging from little things like stray dogs to big things like pollution. ADM High School also has a lot of opinions, so here are some of the biggest problems.

Pollution was brought up most the often. Everyone had something different to say about pollution such as Brian Sandblom. Sandblom said, “Pollution scares me because I feel like it is going to be what destroys the Earth and if we don’t change our ways then we might die.” Brian, of course, is not the only person who finds pollution to be an issue. Freshman Darria McHugh thinks that global warming is also the world’s biggest problem. McHugh said, “Global warming is a big problem and I find it kind of sad that some people choose to act like it doesn’t exist.”

Another problem people have is the amount of criminals in the world. Senior Dausen Daugherty was one of the people who hated the amount of crime happening in the world. Daugherty said, “It is sad to see people die because of crime and I feel like the crime rates everywhere have just gone up.”

Crime rates and selfishness have led to more and more people saying that the biggest problem with the Earth is the people living on it. Senior Matias Rhoades Ortega said, “There is so much distrust in the world. When I talk with someone, I feel like I have to lie because I might offend them and then I will have a huge mob coming after me for one comment I made.”

Another person who is not happy with the people who live in this world is Caleb Klassen. Klassen said, “The amount of selfishness in the world is insane.”

People have problems with the world, but the only way to fix those problems is to stand up for change. The next time you feel like you have a problem with the Earth try to find others who feel the same and fight for change.
