April 2024 Student of the Month is Eliana Dohlman. Dohlman is the daughter of Melissa and Matt Dohlman. She is a senior at ADM High School and has a current GPA of 3.9. Her favorite classes at ADM have been Yearbook, ceramics, and pre-calculus. She enjoys Yearbook and ceramics because they are both outlets that allow her to be creative. She specifically enjoys Yearbook because it has opened up a lot of opportunities for her when she takes photographs at different events. Dohlman also enjoys pre-calculus because she has always been good at math and enjoyed it.
Dohlman is involved in many activities including dance, humanitarian cord, NHS, and student council. “I’ve been involved in dance team and I’ve learned what it means to work hard and to want something. The humanitarian cord has taught me to stick to something. Student council has helped me become a better leader and know how to represent the school. NHS has helped me to be more involved with different people.” Dohlman volunteers anywhere she can help, however, she mainly volunteers through the school when there are any fine arts activities or sports activities.
Dohlman plans to attend Central College and major in kinesiology. Her advice to others is to stick to something if it’s important to you and to have a community surrounding you to help when times get hard.
Being Student of the Month shows Dohlman that the teachers see her hard work and how much she is involved. She believes she was awarded this honor because she is so involved in the school and puts a lot of her time and energy into this school and community.
In honor of her achievements, Raccoon River Bank is awarding $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
