The Iowa School Performance Profiles is an online tool that shows how public schools in Iowa perform on certain measures. The website displays ratings, scores and additional education data in all schools across the state. Under state and federal law, schools must publish report cards reflecting their performance. The website was first launched in 2018, and annual school scores are posted every December.
Some federally required components include accountability scores, identification of schools for support and improvement based on accountability scores, and additional education data. The state-required components are measures of staff retention, student attendance and school ratings. The website is a tool available for the public to look at schools’ report cards. The state uses the scores from each report card to identify schools that might benefit from support and improvement in their district.
As of this year, ADM is the only district in Iowa of our size to receive high-performing reports in all five buildings.
“The education our students are receiving is really, really good,” said Superintendent Greg Dufoe.
Adel Elementary, Meadow View Elementary, De Soto Intermediate, ADM Middle School and ADM High School all met the comprehensive status, the targeted status and an overall rating of at least 62.13 or above, thus putting all five buildings at a high-performing level.
