On October 28th, 2023, the ADM competition cheer team participated in the annual Triton Challenge in Fort Dodge. Hosted by Iowa Central Community College, the Triton Challenge is an event open to the competition cheerleaders of Iowa who come and showcase their routines and skills. While waiting to compete, you also get to see the very talented collegiate-level cheerleaders execute their own abilities.
When competing, you are judged and scored on your overall impression, stunt technique and difficulty, baskets, jumps, tumbling, motions, and your dance. This event is often seen as a practice run before the Iowa High School State Cheer Competition the following weekend on November 4th at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
This year, ADM performed at 2:30 pm and did really well with a couple of minor details to be fixed in the routine. Great feedback was given and overall, they placed 3rd out of the Iowa 3A division following behind Ballard and Carlisle.
