September 2022 Kiwanis Student of the Month: Avery Miller

September’s Kiwanis Student of the Month is Avery Miller. She is the daughter of Richard and Charity Miller, and is a senior this year.

With a GPA of 3.9, Miller has been involved in activities such as Volleyball, Cheer, Track, Soccer, Student Council, National Honors Society, Humanitarian Cord, Speech and Yearbook through her high school years. Being involved in so much has taught her important lessons, specifically, how to become strong and independent, helping others, speaking publicly and being a leader for those around her.

Miller plans on majoring in sports medicine, with a minor in coaching to teach volleyball. When asked what advice she would give to younger high school students and athletes, she said, “Pay attention in class, be nice and include everyone, respect your teacher because they will help you a lot, and have (legal) fun.”

To Miller, being Kiwanis Student of the Month means that she is heavily involved, gets good grades, helps a lot in the community, and is simply awesome.

“I’m very honored to be recognized, and that all my hard work has paid off.” -Miller

In recognition of her achievements, Kiwanis has donated $50 to the Adel Scholarship Foundation.
