Summer as the best part of the year
Summer vacation is one of the favorite parts of the year for so many people. Planning trips, deciding where you are going is a hard but funny part of it. As I asked so many people, so many teenagers in school, I found out that the majority of people are planning to go to Mexico, Florida or even just stay in Iowa and rest. If you have not decided where you want to go, what places you want to visit, there you can read some advice. Let’s start!
If you are going to Mexico, I would recommend visiting Guanajuato. Ornate colonial buildings, busy plazas and colorful homes are everywhere you turn in this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. Guanajuato is known for its subterranean streets and tunnels, which you can explore on a walking tour or at your own leisure. After admiring the city’s cobblestone roadways and charming architecture, grab a souvenir or bite to eat at the bustling Mercado Hidalgo. If you enjoy art, arrive in October when the popular Festival Internacional Cervantino takes place. Also, I would not leave without visiting Puebla. The place is filled with numerous churches, but its main draws are its stunning Talavera pottery and its sweet and spicy cuisine.
Florida
It is impossible to go to Florida and not visit Orlando-Walt Disney World. While the cast of Disney characters draws families to Orlando year after year, there are endless attractions and activities outside of the theme parks. Families can shop till they drop at outlet malls and get up close and personal with animals at Gatorland or Discovery Cove.
As so many people say, few places in the world compare to colorful, vibrant Miami Beach. From the art deco architecture along Ocean Drive to the scantily clad beach goers on South Beach, this Miami offshoot attracts everyone from relaxed retirees to night owls. But you’ll want to bring along your credit card, because those fashionable dance clubs and chic, trendy restaurants don’t come cheap but they are so fun, as I heard.
And at the end of our little review, this is for the people who are staying in Iowa. There are so many funny and interesting places to visit here while you are having summer vacation. Pikes Peak State Park is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Iowa. Located where the Mississippi and Wisconsin rivers meet, Pikes Peak State Park is set in the northeast of the state, on the border with Wisconsin. A popular place to visit in Iowa, it will delight nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts with its stunning scenery and outstanding natural beauty.
If you love lakes, Okoboji is for you! Often referred to as Okoboji, the Iowa Great Lakes are a group of lovely natural lakes lying in the northwest of the state. Due to the stunning scenery and shorelines, the resort region is very popular, with innumerable outdoor recreation activities on offer.
These are places where the majority of students say they are going. What are your summer plans?
