You see a person’s true colors when you are no longer beneficial to their life

As an 18 years old teenager, I notice so much unfairness in the world, in my country, in other countries. Generally, all I want is equality. For everyone. Age, Gender, Orientation, Skin color should not matter. I want everyone to realize that we all are humans! The big problem in my country is how people with different orientations are treated. Treated not only from others, but from themselves too. Our society needs to recognize the unstoppable momentum toward unequivocal civil equality for everyone, does not matter their orientation. The biggest misunderstanding in Georgia, is that, so many people, especially old generation, can not believe and realize , that gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender – PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE!

There are so many accidents and moments, when a person is oppressed, feels bullied and useless because of the people, who are saying so many terrible things about them, only because they are somehow different. I am eighteen years old girl, who has so many friends and some of them are gay. I know how they feel, what they have to deal with and it is not fun! It is not even bad! It is terrible!

Hiding yourself from yourself! This is what they are doing! They are afraid! They are scared! They feel empty! They feel useless! They have to be someone else, they have to act the person who they are not! Act in families, in society! Not because they do not want to be bullied, but because they want to be alive! Of course, it does not mean that this happens all the time and 100% of situations, but it happens as much time as it becomes a big problem. Now, so many protests are going there, people are trying to prove, that you don’t have to be gay to be a supporter – You just have to be Human!

Months ago, I came to America! In a big country with so many advantages and disadvantages. With so many diversities, so many types of people, so many types of problems. Here, I saw and realized so many things! Yes, there is still a buller people, there are still discrimination and Yes, it will always be, becaus ethere will always exist bad and good people but, everything depends on how big is this problem. Here, in the USA, I saw that most of the time, people express themselves. They wear whatever they want, they act however they want, they say if they feel oppressed, they are not scared ( most of the time.)

Their families, parents and friends are more accepting about this topic than in my country. The problem still exists in America, I am not saying that it is a perfect situation, but it is much better here than in my country!

I have some friends here with different orientations, and their way of thinking, their fiers and extremely different from my friend’s in my hometown. Here, they are able to say, they are able not to hide, they are able not to be scared of being different! Here is much more equality about this topic ! The understanding that all people should be treated equally, regardless of who they are or who they love, is at a higher level!

The best thing about being here, is that all the time, when I like something, and it is better than in my country, I am trying to find the way, solution, actions, that makes it better here, to use my country and improve this topic. I hear how parents are telling their children that they love them wherever and however they are. This is also how I grew up, I am thankful that I have this type of family, but not all people do. The main thing to solve this problem, the main thing that America taught me is that we should educate our society about this topic! We should teach our children to BE NICE To BE KIND! To love and accept themselves!  I want to break the cycle of hate and move towards growth! I see myself as a mother and as a healer, not wanting to expose my children to pains of self-hatred and the need to shape themselves in ways society expects.

It takes no compromise to give people their rights! It takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no political deal to give people freedom. It takes no survey to remove repression! As a person, as a part of society, who wants things to be better in her country, I am planning to take a step. When I go back , I want to talk to schools, volunteer, go to classes and give some speeches about equality, about being nice, loved and not afraid to be who we are! When I become a parent, I want to raise my children with the idea that Humans Are Humans! America showed me that by giving the right education about the topic, to make people realize other peoples’ feelings, makes differences!

There is only one! There is nothing wrong about people, who can not express themselves , There is a lot wrong with the world we live in !

And I want to be a person, from hopefully those many people, who will try to Make the world a better place to live! I will start from my country! You start from yours! We can change reality! We are a new, future Generation!
