Sophie Danner has been nominated as one of February’s Kiwanis Students of the Month. Sophie is the daughter of Jill and Dave Danner. Sophie has continuously shown traits of responsibility and strong work ethic earning her a 3.9 GPA. Her three favorite classes in High School have been Statistics, AP Language and Composition, and Art. “I like the teachers and they make the classes fun.” Said Danner. Throughout her years in High School she has been involved in Student Council, NHS, and Basketball. These activities have taught her how to be a leader and how to work well with others. Along with these activities she has spent time volunteering at AHeinz57 and Meals from the Heartland. Danner is planning to attend UNI in the fall to study Finance. When asked what advice she has for others about finding success in school and life she said, “Get your homework done and don’t fall behind in class.” Danner is honored to be a Kiwanis Student of the month because it shows her hard work is paying off, and she believes she has been nominated because she has continued to work to keep her grades up.

In honor of her achievements Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
