Wrestling Cheerleader- Alexa Teckenburg

Alexa Teckenburg has been nominated as one of the January Students of the Month for her work as a wrestling cheerleader. Alexa is the daughter of Trina and Josh Jorgenson. She’s a sophomore this year and has been a part of the cheer squad since 7th grade. This is Teckenburg’s first year doing wrestling cheer and she said it has been a lot of fun getting to know all the wrestlers and coaches. Another aspect of wrestling cheer that Alexa loves is how the other team’s cheerleaders are on the opposite side of the mat and you’re able to interact with them by doing competing or similar cheers. When asked what being a student of the month means to her she said it makes her feel good because it means she is doing something right. She believes she’s been honored for always being hardworking in her cheering whether in practice or on the mat.

In honor of her achievements, Fareway has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
