Love and Monsters

Description – Seven years into the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson and the rest of humanity has been living underground in bunkers and safe houses hiding from the monsters that roam the earth. When Joel discovers that his high school girlfriend is still alive, he decides to journey to her bunker but must survive the monsters that are out to eat any human insight. As he makes friends on the way, he begins to learn more about the monsters that have taken over their planet.

Opinion – (Warning: if you haven’t seen this film, this review might spoil it for you) This film is a sci-fi, rom-com, coming-of-age bundle all wrapped in one movie. Even though it’s rated PG-13, it is a kind of movie that could satisfy any watch group whether you are 14 years old or 39 years old. The movie starts off with the main character thinking there is only one important thing in his life, but along his journey, he realizes there is more to his life than he thinks, he finds a bigger purpose in his life than finding someone he loves.

Rating: I would give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars because it has a small mixture of different stories put into one big one. they have a quest-for-love story, a man’s-best-friend story, and a living-in-an-apocalypse story. the different types of stories they mix together into one.
