Ever since 1st grade you have been able to find Ben Smith on the mats. Now as a sophomore, his achievements have been recognized. The son of Kerri and Sean Smith,  his favorite aspect of the sport is the excitement of winning. “It’s a lot more fun to win on your own.” Smith also loves the bond he has with his teammates.

Being an athlete of the month means to him that the work, and his everyday grind, is being noticed. Smith believes he has been honored for success and leadership in the sport.

In recognition of Smiths’ achievements, Fareway has donated $100 to the ADM scholarship foundation.
