What is ‘Number Seven TikTok’?
Overnight sensation Caden Woodall, known as “number seven” on TikTok has captured the attention of thousands across the globe. Throughout the video, he and his team, the Spartans, are seen lip-syncing and dancing to Justin Beiber and Sean Kingston’s 2010 hit song “Eenie Meenie” in a locker room. Woodall is a senior running back for Livonia Stevenson High School in Michigan who is also currently nominated for Player of the Year at his high school.
Girls on the app have become instantly obsessed with the boy with the number seven on his jersey and it has gone viral. The video was posted by TikTok user Alex Hampstead or @rawrits.alex who has around 296 thousand followers on the app. Hampstead appears to be a videographer for sports at her school. The original video was taken down, but that has not stopped the attention. Woodall himself created an account and posted a video of him and his buddies dancing to the same song but on a golf cart this time. His video has gained over four million views in just 2 days.
The hashtag “#7” on TikTok has 1.5 billion views. Users have commented, “leave some girls for the rest of us bro.” “#7 on the field #1 in my heart”, even the MLB commented on Woodall’s viral post “I’m here for this”.
According to Woodall’s Twitter page on committing to Harvard to play football as part of the class of 2025, he states, “I am ecstatic to join the Crimson family!!” When speaking about the song choice, Woodall said it was one of the “throwback songs that we all listen to”. Number seven does not mind the attention from girls as he’s “single, so it’s all good.”
