Astraea Munyan, senior, and daughter of Candice Andecott and Robert Munyan has been given the honor of being the Girl’s Cross Country Student of the Month. She has been involved in Cross Country since 8th grade, but she regrets not participating in the sport in seventh grade.

When asked about what her favorite part of the sport was, Munyan said, “My favorite part about Cross County is definitely the team aspect and seeing each other progress and support one another,” she said. “I also like seeing myself improve throughout the season and see my growth and how in- shape I become.”

When asked what being an athlete of the month means to her, Munyan said, “It’s awesome to be recognized for sure and talk about something I have been passionate about.”

In honor of her achievements, the Rotary Club has donated 100 dollars to the ADM Scholarship foundation.
