Kiwanis Student of the Month: Emily Ahrens

Emily Ahrens, Senior.

Emily Ahrens, daughter of Karen and Brian Ahrens, was honored as a Kiwanis student of the month. Ahrens has a 4.0 GPA and believes that she was given this honor because she puts a lot of time and effort into school. She is proud to be a Kiwanis student of the month because it shows that she put in hard work and dedication.

Ahrens’ favorite classes at school are Biomed, pre-calculus, and algebra 2. She is going to continue taking classes of that caliber in college, as she is going to major in nursing, and minor in public health. She plans on attending Gustavus Alophus University in Minnesota.

Ahrens’ advice to anyone in high school trying to achieve this honor is to “find something you’re passionate about, and do that.”

In honor of her academic achievements, the Kiwanis Association will be donating $50 to the ADM scholarship fund.
