Student of the Month- Zoe Marckmann

Zoe Marckmann is October’s Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Wendy and Matt Marckmann. Zoe has earned a 3.9 GPA and is honored to be named Student of the Month. A couple of her favorite classes include an acting class she took a couple of years back with Mrs. Seidl, digital photography, and Algebra II with Mr. Goodale. Along with her academic successes, Marckmann is involved in quite a few extracurriculars, such as Cross Country, Track, Speech, FCA, NHS, and Dance. From these activities, Marckmann says she has “learned how to be a leader and developed time management skills”

Marckmann has spent time volunteering at the Des Moines Playhouse, church, and the school blood drive.

When asked what advice she would give her fellow students she said, “always keep a positive attitude in school, when you have a positive mindset you can have a more positive life.”

“Being a student of the month is an honor, it is great to be represented in this way” said Marckmann. “I’m a hard worker, I’m very involved in school, and I try to get to know everyone.”

As of now, Zoe is unsure of where her future will take her, but she is looking at attending either Nebraska or North West Missouri State. Marckmann is interested in pursuing real estate and/or business.
