Sean Whitson, son of Laura and Ryan Whitson, has been honored as the October Kiwanis Student of the Month. Sean is a Senior at ADM High School and has an excellent GPA of 3.88. Sean is involved in many activities like Choir, Drama, and Speech. Whitson says that all these activities helped him find his “passion for music.” Sean also volunteers at his church and the local food pantry.

Sean’s favorite classes in school are Music Theory, Journalism, and Introduction to Literature and Composition. He said that Music Theory helped him “learn about myself.” Whitson plans on majoring in music education after high school.

Sean says that being the Kiwanis Student of the Month feels “pretty cool.” He says that he has been “staying on track and doing homework on time” to earn this honor. Whitson advises others to “work hard and look at school as an opportunity.” He feels that this will help one become very successful.

In honor of Sean’s achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
