Hillary Clinton Excuses Student From School
Junior Kaitlyn Gay returned from her school absence yesterday with a very unique excuse note.
Gay spent the day at the Adel Family Fun Center listening to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speak.
“I went there to learn about history and knew you have to have an excuse to be gone from school,” Gay said. “I just figured I’d have her sign it.”
Video footage captured of the note-signing has been posted on ABC News.
“I was really excited to be on national news,” said Gay. “The event was so crowded–there were cameras everywhere and Bryce (Smith) was getting irritated with people stepping and falling on the bowling lanes.”
Everyone who attended the Clinton rally was excused from school with a parent phone call, regardless of having a note from Clinton herself. Kaitlyn Gay has a very different memento from her experience, though.
