November Kiwanis Student of the Month: Jakob Zwank

November Student of the Month – Jakob Zwank

Jakob Zwank is one of the November’s Kiwanis Students of the Month. He is the son of Debra and David Zwank. Jakob has a 3.6 GPA and his favorite classes are band, choir, and math. “I enjoy listening and making music and I like math because it comes easy to me,” he said.

Activities that Jakob is involved in are band, choir, Jazz Choir, theater, basketball, track, and cross country. From these activities, he has learned leadership skills and other ways to be a good leader.

Outside of school, Jakob takes his time to volunteer at his church and at the local Boy Scouts.

After Jakob’s senior year, he is planning to attend Central College and to major in communications.

To Jakob, being Kiwanis Student of the Month means “people think that I’m a great person and that they believe in me.” He also believes that he was chosen to be Kiwanis Student of the Month because of his involvement in activities.

Jakob’s advice to others is “the escalator is broken, you’ll have to use the stairs one step at a time.”

In recognition of his achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
