Joshua Schmitz is October’s Athlete of the Month. He is the son of Angie and Jason Schmitz and is a senior at ADM. Schmitz has been running cross country since his freshman year.

Joshua loves the team aspect of Cross Country more than anything. “I wouldn’t be able to get through the season without my teammates.”

Being selected as Cross country Athlete of the Month means a lot to Schmitz. He works hard during both the meets and practices and it is nice to know that his effort doesn’t go unnoticed.

He believes he has been honored as Cross Country Athlete of the Month because he is always doing his best to be a good teammate to every one on the team. He does his best to help the team keep a positive mindset even when it is hard.

In honor of his achievements, the Adel Family Dentistry has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Fund.
