Parker DePond is one of two Kiwanis Students of the Month. DePond is the son of Cynthia and Gary DePond. He’s been involved with choir, band, jazz band, jazz choir, theater, and basketball throughout his high school career, and has a 3.01 GPA.

DePond’s favorite classes include Chemistry and Digital Photography, and this fall, DePond plans to attend DMACC to study cinematography and journalism.

DePond thinks he was nominated in response to his recent achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout, and he believes in “always sticking with your activities.”

In recognition of DePond’s achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
