Ms. Gilliland- April Teacher of the Month
Ms. Gilliland was nominated as an April Teacher of the Month by her senior and junior students because she is always there for them and because of her sense of humor.
She has been a teacher for 17 years, and all 17 of those years have been spent at ADM.
Ms. G became a teacher because she has always enjoyed school, learning, and the activities. She started off as a history major originally, then ADM approached her as becoming the special education teacher. She explains it as “where she fits”.
Being teacher of the month means to Ms. G that the students appreciate what she does. It is positive reinforcement, especially during this point in the year.
