Today, February 22, is the “End-It Movement” for the awareness of modern day slavery, or human trafficking.
To be involved with changing lives, you can draw a red “X” on your hand to provoke discussions and awareness to this issue.
In 87% of countries slavery is illegal. However, in 87% of countries slavery is present.
1 in 5 victims are under the age of 18.
There are anywhere from 600,000 to 800,000 individuals trafficked in the United States every year
There were 42 victims of trafficking in Iowa alone in 2017.
There is human trafficking everywhere we go, even without knowing it. Shine your light on slavery today and make a change.
