Garth Brooks: World Tour

Garth Brooks is a singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who is currently completing his 2014-16 World Tour. On Sunday, May 1, Garth came to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines to deliver an excellent performance for thousands of fans. Brooks had the ladies swooning over him as he sang his famous song “The Dance” and had the crowd dancing and cheering with him as he sang “Friends in Low Places” and “The Thunder Rolls.”

Midway through the night, Trisha Yearwood (Garth’s wife) interrupted Garth in his glory to let herself shine. The crowd sang along as she sang “Walk Away Joe” and “She’s In Love With The Boy.” Garth sang the harmony for her famous hit “How Do I Live” as they gazed at each other, causing the fans to go wild. Trisha had also promoted Breast Cancer Awareness at the concert, dedicating the video shown to everyone who had been or is currently being affected by Breast Cancer, including her mother who lost her fight. Yearwood gave hope to not only herself but everyone in the crowd, as well. Trisha also interrupted Garth once again, to announce that he had been awarded Best Tourist of The Year, which had Garth jumping and shouting with joy.

Garth continued to knock our socks off throughout the night. An estimated 5,000 people were in the arena at once, singing and dancing with Garth. As one of his older songs “The River” was being sung, everyone had the flashlights on their phones turned on to resemble lighters being waved in the air. Literally everyone.

As the night came to an end, Garth thanked everyone for coming to support him and his wife and ended with a bang. Garth said a few inspirational words to the state of Iowa and everyone ended their evening with a goodnight from the one and only Garth Brooks.
