Top Picks for March

March 29, 2023

1. Doing things you love by yourself

I know this may sound a little lonely, and a bit cheesy, but honestly some quality alone time can do wonderful things. I’m a big thinker and so usually when I’m sitting alone I end up overthinking. Doing something I love allows me to get some fresh air, and think about things without overthinking. Psychology today says that doing things by yourself has numerous benefits such as sparking creativity, increasing mental strength, gaining a new perspectives, learning to be okay with being alone and getting to know yourself better.

2. Drives with a good playlist

I personally think that a good late night drive with the right music can heal any situation. If you’re able to find the right genre and song you can end up relating a lot to the song. Recently, now that golf season has started up, I have really enjoyed the drives to and from the Minburn facility for the sole fact of the amount of music I get to listen to. I normally have a 5 minute drive home and can listen to about 1.5 songs, but driving to and from Minburn I am able to listen to SO much more of my playlist. At the end of a long day a long car ride blaring good music is the best way to decompress.

3.Packing Cubes

If you watched by spring break packing video you know I recently tried out packing cubes for my trip to Las Vegas. I absolutely loved them. They helped not only compress all of my clothes, but also kept me organized on the way there and on the way home. I got mine on Amazon while they were on sale, but I don’t think the brand matters.

4. Elf Halo Glow Foundation

I got a mini size of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter for Christmas and loved it, but was dreading the day I ran out and needed to re-purchase myself. You can imagine how exited I was when I heard Elf had a dupe for the flawless filter. In my opinion this is even better than Charlotte Tilbury. It has little bit more pigment which I love, but is also very light and give the “no makeup” makeup look.

5. Golf Cart Rides

I love golfing in general, but last Saturday I went with my friend Allison and we took the golf cart down to the beach in Panora and watched the sunset. After we cruised around and listened to country music until it got dark.  Even though it was only 30 degrees, we didn’t care. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We weren’t even talking to each other, we were just singing. It was an amazing way to end the day.
