Posing with a bright smile, Fine Arts Student of the Month Jadah Manning discovers she has been honored the title.

Junior Jadah Manning is the daughter of Angie and Matt Helmick, and February’s Fine Arts Student of the Month. She was nominated for her roles in Academic Decathlon and Speech.

“I’ve learned a lot of speaking skills from Speech, and test-taking and studying skills from AC/DEC,” Manning said.

When asked why other people should participate in these activities, she said, “Speech is a good way to meet new people and learn new speaking skills. AC/DEC also looks really good on college applications. Plus, it’s fun.”

Manning believes she was given this title because she has worked hard to do what she is supposed to, and performs well in Speech and AC/DEC.

“It means a lot to me,” Manning said.
