Taking a break from helping a Geometry student with thier math test, Math teacher Alix Lifka-Resslman smiles at the front of the classroom.

Alix Lifka-Reselman is February’s Teacher of the Month. She has been teaching for a total of 8 years and has been here for 3 years.

L-R was nominated by a variety of past and current Academic Decathlon Members for her efforts to make her classes and clubs in her words, “Not boring.” She decided to become a teacher because she doesn’t like being bored and doesn’t like when students are bored. She makes it her goal to make every day different and fun. When in college she wanted to teach chemistry but claimed, “They didn’t let me blow enough things up.” She then decided to teach math to help students hate math less.

She appreciates being named Teacher of the Month and that students recognize that she is trying to make learning fun for them.
