2022 has brought us some big music hits already, and it’s looking like that is going to continue to be the case as we make our way through the year. So far this year we’ve got a new hit from Tate Mcrae- She’s All I Wanna Be which became Mcrae’s highest debut single and fourth charting song Her debut album I Used to Think I Could Fly is set to release on May 27. Sabrina Carpenter dropped Fast Times which brought a whole new vibe to her discography. Dove Cameron also made waves with her new single Boyfriend which was first teased on Tik Tok before being released to streaming services. Joshua Bassett dropped Doppelganger, and DNCE made a comeback along with dropping two new singles Dancing Feet and Move.

Khalid dropped his new single Last Call on March 3rd, this was Khalid’s first music drop since his album Free Spirit which was released in 2019. On top of that, on April 29th the R&B artist dropped “Skyline” and we hope to see more new music from Khalid in the coming months.

New music from 5 Seconds of Summer has also been released including their hit Complete Mess, and more recently Take My Hand, which was dropped on April 1. The band just announced their upcoming album 5SOS5, which will release in September along with dropping a new song that will be featured on that album, “Me Myself & I”.

We got a new song from Camila Cabello, Bam Bam which features Ed Sheeran. This song was also teased on TikTok and the lyrics left fans in shock. With the recent break-up between Shawn Mendes and Cabello, this new song can only be about one thing. Cabello also dropped her new album Familia earlier this year.

Speaking of Shawn Mendes, he recently released a new song titled When You’re Gone. Mendes will be hitting the road for his world tour this summer.

Along with headlining Coachella, dropping a trailer for a movie he will be featured in, and promoting his new album, Harry Styles is having quite the year. His single As It Was has shattered the charts and his third album titled Harrys House will be released next Friday, May 20th.

While Justin Bieber is busy on his current tour, he still found time to drop a new song that features Don Toliver, titled, “Honest.” This was dropped alongside “I Feel Funny” and both songs were each accompanied by their own music video as well.

Lizzo’s new song “About Damn Time” has gained a lot of its popularity on Tik Tok with the viral dance to go along with the song. This song is perfect for the upcoming summer months as it is upbeat and full of energy. This newest single is currently sitting at the number one spot on the iTunes Charts.

Taylor Swift surprised dropped “This Love” (Taylor’s Version) when it was featured in the trailer for the upcoming series “The Summer I Turned Pretty” based on the book series written by Jenny Han. Alongside this, Swift dropped new merch on her website both for her album 1989 and Speak Now. This has fans in a frenzy of guesses and theories as to which Taylor’s Version album is going to be released next.
