Not The Georgia You’re Thinking Of…

This year here at ADM, we have three foreign exchange students. One in particular, is from a place where some have never heard of. Sophie Davitidze is here from Gori, Georgia. I sat down with Sophie and asked her a few questions that I assume all of us here at ADM are wondering.

My first question for Sophie was why did she decide to become a foreign exchange student. She responded by telling me that she went to this contest on a limb to see if she would be accepted to be sent to another country, and when she was, she said why not and decided to come to the United States. Sophie has always been a fan of adventure and trying new things, Sophie couldn’t let this opportunity slip past here Sophie then went on to tell me that she came here for the difference, and that she enjoys the difference in culture and language. Sophie also told me that the language was difficult to understand, but her time spent here has increased her English.

As for the future, Sophie has to go back to Georgia for one year of school, but then plans on moving back to the United States and going to college here. Sophie’s presence has been a great addition to ADM, and we all can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for her.
